Plain Chocolate Cake

Plain Chocolate Cake.

My son wanted Chocolate Cream to be on top,
I said next time because I am short of some ingredients.

This week, Malaysian has long weekend from yesterday Friday
because Hindu celebrated their Deepavali.
Wishing all Hindu "A Very Happy Deepavali".

170 butter (room temperature)
3 eggs (room temperature)
2 tablespoons of milk
170g caster sugar

220 g self raising flour (take out 3 tablespoons of
self raising flour and replace with 3 tablespoons of
cocoa) & mix and shift with 1 teaspoon of baking powder

Line two baking tins with baking paper &
side grease and dust with flour.

Beat butter for 3 minutes.

Pour in caster sugar and beat another 3 minutes or
until pale in colour.

Beat in egg one at a time and pour in
1 tablespoon of self raising flour after each egg to
prevent batter curdling.
After beaten all the eggs, pour in the milk and
beat for a short while.

Lastly, pour in the flour.

Beat until well combined.

Pour into the baking tray.
Bake for 30 minutes at 180 Degree Celcius or until done.

Note : You can pour all the batter into a round baking tin
but it will take longer than 30 minutes to bake.
The choice is yours.
I baked into two baking tins because I wanted to give one to our neighbour.

Once done, take it out from the oven and cool for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, take the cake out from the tin,
take out the bottom baking paper and
place onto a serving plate and cool further.

Cut into desired sizes.
Happy Baking And Eating.
