Double Boiled Orange
 I can't stand hearing my husband coughing non-stop, hence I double boiled orange for him.
Consecutively for two days, I boiled for him before he went outstation.  
He drank the juice twice a day, one in the morning and one before sleeping time.
Well, his cough has been lessen.  Will boil for him again when he is back tomorrow.
If you have persistence of cough, this Chinese remedy is good to reduce your cough.


 Ingredients :-
1 orange and some salt

Method :-
1) Wash and soak the orange with salt water for 15 minutes.  Discard the salt water.
2) Slice off slightly the top part, use chop stick and poke the flesh with some holes around the orange.
3) Sprinkle 1/2 tsp of salt on top of the poked orange.
4) Place back the cut top to the orange and place the whole orange into a ceramic jug and cover.
5) Place the ceramic jug into a pot filed with some water and double boil for 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours.





6) You noticed that the skin of the orange has turned slightly darker in colour and soften.
7) Take out the orange and pour out the remaining orange juice from the ceramic jug to a bowl.
8) With a ceramic spoon, scrap out the flesh and squeeze out the orange juice using a strainer.
9) Drink the juice while it is warm.  You even can eat the flesh and skin. 




I kind of wanting to drink it also, well, will make extra ..... *wink wink
