Tahini Sauce

 Tahini Sauce

My husband requested me to make  Hummus for him and in order
to make it, I  need to have Tahini Sauce.  Store bought quite expensive.

Tahini Sauce is thick spread that results from grinding the roasted
sesame seeds and mix with Olive Oil.  Beside using to make Hummus,
you can drizzle into your sandwiches, salad or any bbq meats with some
squeeze lemon juice with it.

Ingredients :-
1)    140g (1 cup) Sesame  Seed (hulled)
2)    3 - 4 tbsp Olive Oil or Canola Oil
3)    1/2 tsp Salt

Method :-
1)    Heat up frying pan.
2)    Pour in the sesame seed into the pan.
3)    With low medium fire, slowly roast the sesame seed.
4)    Stirring non stop to prevent the sesame seed from burning.
5)    Switch off fire when it is brown and set aside to cool.

Method :-
1)    Pour the roasted sesame seed into a food processor.
2)    Blitz 3 times.
3)    Press button 1 and blitz to crumble texture.
4)    Press button 1 again and blitz from crumble texture to bind slightly texture.

Method :-
1)    Press button 1 again and blitz from bind slightly texture to full bind texture.
2)    Pour 2 tbsp olive oil and blitz twice.
3)    Taste it, if too thick to your liking, pour another tbsp of olive oil and salt and blitz
        until  smooth.
4)    If you find it is too thick to your liking, you can add more olive oil. (remember not too
watery because we need to make hummus and not for salad, sandwiches or bbq meat).
It is subjective on taste and texture, at the end it is your choice.
5)    Pour into a cleaned jar with lid and keep inside fridge if you are not using/eating it.
