Korean Street Toast
Thanks to Seonkyoung sharing this recipe. It's a hit for my family.
Made this for our late breakfast.
Ingredients for 4 people :-
- 60g Cabbage, sliced thinly
- 60g Carrot, julienne thinly
- 8 slices of Cheese
- 16 slices of Bread (butter both sides)
- 8 slices of Turkey Ham
- 4 Eggs
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- Butter
- Roasted Sesame Dressing and Japanese Mayo (optional and depends on your preference)
- Mix Cabbage, Carrot, Eggs, Salt and Pepper in a bowl until well combined.
- Heat up pan with 2 tbsp of butter until melted.
- Pour the mixture into the pan. Once the side slightly cooked, use your spatula to break the egg mixture into four parts.
- Then flip to the other side to cook until brown and set aside.
- With the same pan, cook the turkey ham slightly brown and set aside.
- Then toast the buttered bread both sides until brown and set aside.
- *With the toasted buttered bread, lay 1st layer with egg omelet.
(*Note : You can sprinkle with some sugar before laying your egg omelet. For ours, I did not sprinkle with some caster sugar onto the toasted buttered bread because we are cutting down our sugar intake. Choice is yours.)
- Lay 2nd layer with the turkey ham, 3rd layer with slice of cheese and drizzle with your favourite sauces (mine will be roasted sesame dressing and Japanese Mayo).
- Cover with another toasted buttered bread.
- Serve immediately.
We can eat this for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
It is indeed super yummy.
