Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Crab Sticks
You must be thinking why on earth I added crab sticks to my spaghetti?
Well, I was home alone, outside is raining like dog and cat, lazy to go out to buy dinner,
hence I ransacked my pantry and fridge. This is what I have, spaghetti and crab sticks.
You will be surprised that the two combinations are magnificent.
Spaghetti Aglio Olio is the easiest Italian recipe.
The meaning of Aglio Olio is Garlic and Oil (Olive Oil).
Today is 1/2/2018, so fast we are going into the 2nd month of the year.

Ingredients :-
- 160g Spaghetti (cook in salted water until 3/4 cooked and drain. Save 1 cup of pasta water)
- 8 pieces of Crab Sticks (cut into 2 pieces)
- 3/4 head of Garlic (minced finely)
- 4 tbsp of Olive Oil
- 3/4 tbsp of Chili Flakes
- 1 tsp Pepper, dash of Salt and 1 tsp Dried Parsley
To cook the Spaghetti :-
- Get ready all the ingredients at one side.
- Heat up slightly the Olive Oil.
- Saute slightly the minced Garlic. Do not brown it.
- Add Crab Sticks and stir fry for 2 minutes.
- Add Chili Flakes and stir fry for 1 minute.
Continue cooking the Spaghetti :-
- Add the 3/4 cooked Spaghetti together with the 1 cup of pasta water.
- Stir well and cook until the Spaghetti is cook.
- Add 1 tsp Black Pepper and stir well.
- Add 1 tsp Dried Parsley, dash of Salt to taste and stir well.
Note : Added the pasta water is to avoid the spaghetti sticking together and also not to stick to the pan/wok.
