Osmanthus Jelly (Kwai Far Koh)
The original Osmanthus Cake (Kwai Far Koh / Kwai Fa Koh) has glutionous rice flour
and this recipe is totally the opposite.  It is jelly and not cake type.
Health benefits from Osmanthus flowers are good for our respiratory system and lungs, 
reduce dampness in our body, smooth our complexion and etc.

Ingredients :-

  1. 3 tbsp Goji Berries (wash and soak with water to plump it up and then discard the water)
  2. 1 tbsp Osmanthus Flowers (wash and drain the water)
  3. 10 g Agar-Agar Powder
  4. 100 g Rock Sugar
  5. 1 liter Water 

 Methods :-

  1. Add water, rock sugar and agar-agar powder into wok or pot and stir until well combined.
  2. Turn on the fire and boil until the rock sugar and agar-agar powder dissolved.
  3. Add Osmanthus Flowers and boiled for 2 minutes and turn off the fire.
  4. Add the Goji Berries into each of the moulds and thereafter pour the liquid agar-agar into the moulds and let it cool before placing into the fridge to chill for 1 hour plus.
Note : Made 29 pieces from this type of mould.


While taking this photo, my daughter and I have eaten few pieces already.

Note : Remember, not to be too greedy in adding the Osmanthus Flowers.
Otherwise, it will be bitter.
